I lose interest quickly. Very quickly. Can you relate? When I’m speaking at a client event I often tell the audience I have A-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D. And before you hang me, I’m not making fun, I think most of us do to some degree with all the distractions out there.
Anyway, where was I?
Over the years every product I have created has been brought to market in 30 days or less. My sales cycle for booking speaking engagements is 3 months. I’m not coming after you for a whole year when it was you who reached out to me and you keep stalling or not responding. Again, I lose interest quickly. And I think it’s important that people know that about themselves, embrace it, and work with it.
Often times people tell me they have a great idea for a product to complement their business. Almost all the time they do nothing about it. Nothing. Which makes no sense…..because there are so many resources online to help you create, design, develop and sell in very short periods.
I tend to have lots of ideas. Lots. I get inspired all over. From clients. From bike rides. From friends and family. From walking downtown. From bathrooms (yeah probably my best source of product ideation). From anywhere!
So I’ve decided to show people how simple it is to take an idea to market by imposing a little challenge upon myself. I call it 30 Days, 30 Ideas, 30 Products. Yep, I’m gonna take one idea per day and turn it into a product within 30 days.
Wish me luck! Or follow along! I’ll be using the hashtag #30days30ideas30products
